We get some stylish boys and girls perusing the wares…we are going to start snapping pictures to give you more eye candy! Today’s shy lady has a great coat and shoes, plus she is sporting the striped Baggu that she bought on a previous visit. We like how she knotted her Baggu to make a new silhouette.

We also received a visit from an owner of a brand-new SF boutique in the Mission district called Gravel and Gold. They will carry handmade and vintage items and hold events in their space too. We can already feel we are going to be kindred spirits - good luck ladies!

We have so much fun with the book orders. People seem to like to come in and find a really curated selection, as well - sometimes going to a big bookstore can be really overwhelming. We’ve restocked some of your favorites, but new titles for us include Planet Shanghai, a gorgeous photography book that captures the buzz and craziness of that city; the latest Apartment Therapy book with help for your home; and Lotta Prints, with step-by-step instructions and patterns from Lotta Jansdotter.

We’ve added some clothing by sustainable Canadian line Covet to the webshop, and there are more styles instore too. Also, our spring shipment from Australian-based Princess Tina is on its way! I liken that brand to Built by Wendy with a fairytale bent. Good stuff.

We have just received a gorgeous new melamine plate design by Marco Cibola for Poketo. The series is called the Middletons and they come in two sets of two for $24, or all four for $40. The plates are a “family” and each have a name - Doug, Janet, Clair and Perry. We’ll put them in the webshop this week, and they are already gracing the walls of the store.

We are also restocked on the pewter bird feet and anatomical heart lockets from Swallow, so if you have been waiting for those, they are back! We also have a brand-new Serrote letterpress journal design, it is a new tablecloth notebook, so the interior pages are made from quilted paper tablecloth material, it is very clever.

In Brooklyn, we are still going strong with the sale. Laura is pulling more inventory out of the nooks and crannies so that we continue to have good stuff for you! Don’t forget that the sale bumps up to 45% off on Friday.
