We have a set of small framed works by local artist Kristine Reano at Rare Device. They are mysterious combinations of watercolor, ink and paper fragments. We will have these up in the webshop soon, but if you are in SF, definitely come by and see them in person.

The very popular Ivy coat rack system is back in stock in a nice neutral medium grey and a very dark charcoal/near-black. You can see it in Rena’s entry hall above, and yes it holds a ton of bags and winter coats very nicely!

We also have a new line of children’s toys in that would also look intriguing on your desk or bookcase. Little Sapling Toys are made in northern California from reclaimed or FSC-certified hardwoods. We have a baby rattle and a column set for you, look for them in our webshop soon.

If you have been by the shop recently, it will seem a bit bare! We did some judicious ordering around the holidays and we are pretty cleaned out. However, we’ve already got restocks on the way, plus brand-new items for you to discover.

One old favorite is Fernworks necklaces, by Faryn Davis of Seattle. Sadly, this shipment arrived after Dec 24 but now there is a huge new batch to pick from, for a friend’s birthday, anniversary, or just a little treat for yourself.  We have all the new styles up on our site, check out the New Arrivals page for more.

We are open again after a week off. Please come and say hello! Our hours will remain the same as last year, except (at least for the winter months) we are no longer open until 9 pm on Thursdays. We will close at 7 instead, like all the other nights (except Sunday, when we close at 6 pm).

We have many new markdowns on clothing and bags. All Christmas cards are 50% off and calendars are 30% off.

And for your amusement, store dog Wilfredo in his antlers on Christmas eve.
