Friday 5/7, 7-9PM: 20% off and Matte Stephens reception

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Hey guys,

Events abound at the shop! Friday, May 7 from 7-9PM, we’re throwing a reception for Matte Stephens, who has a plethora of new paintings for us. We adore this Portland, OR-based artist, and we know you will too.

Not only do we have a show that night, but we’re also offering 20% off all items! (Sans gallery artwork.) A great night to check out an art show *and* shop for Mom, perhaps?

Come on by 5/7 from 7-9!

We just received these great kids toys from Japan, they are eco-friendly and so good for a one or two year old. The elephant has a detachable wagon full of “dominoes”. Love these!

We got a Roost shipment in and the long-lost Puzzle Serving Boards are back! These sold out quickly at Christmastime and we finally have more. They are a cutting board/serving board that can separate out into individual serving pieces. Clever and beautiful both!

New Titles

We received the follow-up book to the popular title Data Flow – this is Data Flow 2 of course, and it has more great examples of different ways to visualize data. Nerdy and cool.

Also in are wood tops for big and little kids, more Brights and Stripes clothing, a great book on papercraft, beautiful Japanese masking tape, and MORE!

Coming soon: tops!

Hey all,
New to the shop: wooden tops! For kids or adults who like to watch the swirly colors!
One style is made from old skateboards–meaning they’re eco-friendly and recycled; the others are carved and from Japan. They should be in the shop in the next few days, so keep an eye out!
