This is My World

This is my World is a glimpse inside the brain of San Francisco artist and illustrator, Lisa Congdon. Congdon, long obsessed with the fusion of color, shape and pattern on unlikely surfaces, brings us a show of of small works, painted objects, zines and hand made books. Congdon has combined hand lettering, hand-drawn pattern, and her usual dose of bold color onto paper, vintage ephemera and wood to create an array of pieces that will dazzle even the most sullen observer. Opens November 2.

About Lisa Congdon:
San Francisco fine artist and illustrator Lisa Congdon is best known for her colorful paintings and collages. Her vast catalog of work is inspired by many of the things she loves: pattern, vintage ephemera, and color. Lisa is also known for her hand-lettering and pattern design, and keeps a daily blog of her work called "Today is Going to be Awesome." She lives in the Mission District of San Francisco with her partner, chihuahua and two cats. She works in her light-filled studio a few blocks from her apartment.
